My teaching experience started volunteering and assisting teachers and finally became a teacher at a Korean school. Being in charge of developing materials, managing the school’s office and representing the school at functions in the local community. I attended meetings to review other schools curriculum and, in an official capacity, to share what the school I represented had to offer. Annually attending the Korean School Association (KSA) in Hawaii to learn newest teaching methods and acquiring the materials. I’ve always held a strong interest in teaching to improve communication and break down communication barriers. My generally proactive approach starts with teaching language learners effective language learning skills, e.g., how to listen smartly for comprehension, and then into overall speaking, reading, and writing. Since language is for communicating to each other, I’d like to teach and share my knowledge of language and culture, whether in English or Korean.
